Safe Grass Cutting with ride on mowers

This video-based course includes the safe use of ride-on mowers for cutting large areas of grass, personal protective safety equipment, hazards and procedures that should be followed when operating rotary and cylinder blade models and after use care.

Topics explored in this course include:

• Types of ride-on mowers
• Preparation for use
• Refuelling
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Starting a mower and getting to the work location
• Using the mower
• After use care

The video is followed by a learning review which consists of ten multiple choice questions with opportunity to retake the course if required.

To allow flexible learning, students can leave and return to the course at any time without losing completed sections.

A certificate is provided upon successful completion.
